White Residence Hall ECU community members paid tribute to Ruth Allen White in 1969 by naming White Hall after her. She graduated from East Carolina Teachers College (which became East Carolina University) in 1925. Miss White continued her life at the university, first as a hall counselor, then the Assistant Dean of Women and finally as the Dean of Women.
