Mission Statement
Off-Campus Student Services works with students and the surrounding community to address community conflict, maintain a safe and healthy living environment, and to assist in off-campus living needs in the City of Greenville and to commuting students. The mission is to encourage open communication and develop educational programs and services in order to empower students to become personally responsible and active members of their neighborhood and community.
The office accomplishes its mission by: Providing educational support for the rules and responsibilities that go hand-in-hand with the freedom of living off-campus and good citizenship; collaborating with students, university officials, city officials, Landlords/land investors, members of Greek Life, Greenville Police Dept., ECU Police Dept., and community members; Supplying the pathways to students, parents, faculty, and staff for solutions of questions and concerns regarding off-campus issues.
- Advocating for the needs of students.
- Maintaining town-gown relations between East Carolina University and the City of Greenville.
