What Services are available to Students and ECU employees at Student Health Service? Student Health Service has a comprehensive list of medical providers and departments. Physicians, Physician Extenders, a Medical Lab, X-ray Department, Nutrition and Wellness Education Department, and a Pharmacy all work cohesively together to provide the best in patient care.

Do you take insurance? Student Health will help you file charges with your insurance plan. Our Insurance department can send appropriate forms upon your request so you may receive a reimbursement if eligible. Student Health Service does not accept payment from insurance companies and charges accrued by patients must be taken care of by the end of the business day.

How much will it cost me to see a physician or physician extender at the Student Health Service? Most visits by ECU Students are covered by their Student Health Fee. This would include nurse and medical provider visits. Additional charges may accrue due to use of ancillary services and supplies such as pharmacy medications, laboratory tests, and x-rays. Please inquire during your visit as to specific pricing for services you are receiving.

I have graduated, can I still be seen at Student Health Service? Due to anti-trust laws we can cannot see ECU Students after they have graduated or left the University. We can make arrangements to forward records and refer you to an outside medical office with your consent.

Can I be seen during the summer if I am not enrolled in summer school but am enrolled in the upcoming fall semester? In order to be seen for provider, nurse, lab, and x-ray visits during the summer you must be enrolled in that summer school session or pay a one time per summer session Health Fee. Pharmacy services can still be utilized by persons not enrolled in summer school but who are enrolled for the upcoming fall semester.
