Laboratory Services
Laboratory Services Offered: Our Laboratory Department processes many laboratory requests within our facility. Urinalysis, pregnancy tests, complete blood counts, and many tests are all available with In-house results. Samples for other necessary tests not routinely performed at Student Health Service are collected at our facility and then sent to an outside Lab for testing.
Laboratory Prices: Laboratory services are provided at a minimal cost to ECU Students and ECU Employees. These charges are not included in a ECU Student's general health fee. If you have questions concerning prices of services please ask at the time of your visit or you may call (252) 328-6841 to find out specific pricing.
Payments: Payment arrangements for laboratory services must be made at the time of service. These fees may be paid for by check, cash, Mastercard/Visa, or ECU students may charge the fee to their main cashier's account
Laboratory Results: Results from labs performed within our facility can take as little as 30mins. Results from labs performed outside of our facility may take several days to 3 weeks in order to get results. These labs are followed up also by a Student Health Tracking Nurse.
ECU Student Health Service Lab has received the 2004 proficiency award for having no deficiencies in Lab processing by COLA accreditation association. ECU Student Health Service Lab is an accredited facility with COLA accreditation association
