Insurance Questions

The pharmacy currently files insurance for plans administered by ECU Student, PCS, NC Employees, Advance PCS, Caremark, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Aetna, TriCare. Information on ECU Student Insurance can be obtained through Pearce and Pearce Insurance which contains information on, printing a brochure, obtaining cost and enrollment information, or viewing claim status. Pricing If we do not accept your prescription insurance, you may want to check out our price first, before you fill a particular medication. Many times our prices are cheaper than what you would pay for the same medication with your insurance at an outside pharmacy. Know your co-pay for brand and generic so you can compare this price to what our prices are for your medication. Prescriptions with insurance plans which we accept will be charged the same price as your prescription plan co-pay.

ECU Employees Please be aware that due to contracts with manufacturers, ECU employees may not be eligible for all medications at Student price rates. Please call for exact pricing and specify that you are an ECU employee.

Filing with your Insurance Company If you have insurance plan that we do not accept, we can provide you with a print out of your prescription purchases with which you can attempt to gain reimbursement from your Insurance provider. Just ask for a medication printout at the same time you pick up your prescription, then contact your insurance company to see how and where to file your claim.
