X-ray Department
Our x-ray department is for use by patients after seeing one of our providers. The department provides radiological service and recommendations for a variety of skeletal problems. Please schedule an appointment with a provider at (252) 328-6841 for non-emergency problems or walk in through urgent care for more urgent needs without an appointment.
X-ray: The department uses a State of the Art Phillips Optimus Diagnostic machine. X-rays are preliminarily read in house by a Student Health Provider. Final readings are provided by Eastern Radiological services.
Personnel: Our X-ray technologist is certified with The American Registry of Radiological Technologists, a certification organization that provides standards of performance for X-ray personnel.
Charges:
- X-ray $35.00 each
- X-ray copies $5.00 each
Casting: The Student Health Service does not provide hard casting but can provide patients with splints, knee stabilizers, ace bandages, and hard shoe stabilizers. Referrals are made to Orthopedics East for all hard casting requirements.
