Britt is working hard on Broadway!! SoTD alum, Andrew Britt has some exciting news.  He will be the Assistant Director for the upcoming Broadway productions of Waiting For Godot and No Man’s Land starring Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart! The two plays by Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter will be performed in repertory (alternating nightly) this fall on Broadway after an out of town production of No Man’s Land this summer at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. More casting and dates will be announced soon.

Beth Grant is hotter than a two dollar pistol.  Congratulations to SoTD alumna Beth Grant for her starring role alongside Ms. Spencer in the Del Shores directed film, Blues for Willadeanjoining the cast of James Franco's, As I Lay Dying(see Cannes pictures below) ;and her latest venture, her promotion to series regular in the Fox series, The Mindy Project (click here for details.)

SoTD alum Kevin Williamson continues to shine. You may know Kevin as the writer of the Scream movie series, Dawson's Creek and the creator of the CW series, The Vampire Diaries, but you must to check out his latest venture, the new Fox hit, The Following.  The production stars Kevin Bacon as a FBI agent in the middle of a web of serial killers lead by James Purefoy, Marc Antony in the HBO series, Rome.  The Following is a suspenseful thriller that will keep you riveted to the screen.

Bondurant is on board.  Congratulations goes out to SoTD alumna, Bethany Bondurant (BFA-Theatre Arts Education).  Bethany has been hired as the Theatre Arts Teacher at Aulander Elementary School - Year-Round School in Bertie County, NC.  Congratulations, Bethany!!  We are very proud of you.

Deans inks her first contract!!  Kudos to SoTD alumna, Molly Deans (BFA-Theatre Arts Education).  After spending this past Spring as a part-time teacher, Molly signed her first contract and, coming this Fall, she will be full-time at Voyager Academy High School in Durham.  Her duties will include teaching: Theatre Arts I&II, Yearbook, and Introduction to Dance.  We are very proud of you, Molly!

Andrew Blair (BFA-Theatre Arts, Professional Acting) writes to let us know that the TV show, in which he and Lauren Pearce (BFA-Theatre Arts, Professional Acting) are both featured on The Food Network.  Andrew is in the pilot and Lauren joins him on 4 of the 8 remaining episodes. Congratulations to the two of them and best wishes for a good run.
