Message to Transfer Students
Mission
Our mission is to provide a seamless transition for students both
academically and socially by assisting them in becoming fully integrated
into the ECU community. Transitioning from one institution to another
can be a very difficult and frustrating process. We understand being a
transfer student can present some unique challenges and constraints that
are uncommon to our native students. However, our office is
specifically designed to fit your needs to make your transition into
East Carolina University a smooth and successful one. Our over arching
goal consists of three key components: educating, equipping and
engaging.
- Educating prospective and newly enrolled students about the transfer process and how to adapt to their new environment.
- Equipping students with the resources and tools needed to be successful academically and socially.
- Encouraging student engagement and
involvement by connecting them to organizations, programs, and
activities that will enrich their experiences here at ECU and promote a
stronger sense of belonging and community.
