What's New

ECU Transit constantly strives to improve service and meet the needs of our riders. These improvements often mean changes to schedules, routes or other aspects of our operations to improve efficiency while maintaining robust service offerings. We try to minimize mid-semester service changes, so most of these will usually occur at the beginning of a new semester. To help our returning riders better understand upcoming service adjustments, this page documents changes which may affect how you use our services.

Summer 2018 Route Changes

With the beginning of the construction project for the new student union and parking deck, the Joyner Library bus loop will no longer be accessible to any routes. This bus loop served as a hub for many shuttles over the years and losing it has required several changes to our system; most major items are summarized in the Main Campus Student Center Town Hall presentation available for download here.

Several adjustments to peak/off-peak schedules have been made to many routes; see their individual schedules for complete details. The following major revisions have been made to Summer 2018 service:

  • 301 Gold: will shuttle every 30 minutes from Mendenhall. No weekend Service
  • 302 Health Sciences: Last round departs campus at 5:30 PM
  • 610 Minges: 8 minute frequency all day. Last rounds departs campus at 6:00 PM
  • No routes or services will operate on the Weekend, including SafeRide

All off campus routes will pick up and drop off via the Christenbury bus hub. Due to decreased ridership during summer service, many routes with dedicated service during Fall and Spring semesters may share a route with a neighboring complexes. For the complete list of  Summer 2018 routes, click here.
