Proposal ProcessTwo general types of projects are considered, instructional and promotional. Concepts for instructional projects are generated by faculty need; project development is a team effort that utilizes the skills of faculty, Instructional Technology Consultants and UMC staff. Concepts for promotional projects are designed to promote ECU and its programs and may utilize team members from across campus. To initiate a project a proposal form must be submitted. When submitting a proposal, it should be realized that there is variation in the level of detail that is needed. Typically proposals for small, short-term projects can provide less specific detail than a proposal that is intended for the production team to understand the instructional purpose and scope of a long-term project. Describe the project so that someone who has never seen it can understand what is needed. Proposals consist of general background information indicating the nature of the problem to be solved as well as specific project details. General background information includes an overview, goals and objectives, and target audience. Specific project details include expected deliverables, timelines, implementation plans, and evaluation standards. Proposals are reviewed by the center's director. Once accepted, the project team evaluates the problem and develops a strategy and timeline for completion. Proposals are accepted and selected in advance of production. Submit Proposal Form |
