A Special Welcome to Freshmen and Transfer Students:

If you’re like most first year or transfer students, despite all your planning and preparation, you’ve still got a question or two about what lies ahead for you at East Carolina University.  “What will it be like that first weekend after my family drives away?  How rough are classes?  How tough is faculty?  Is the food good? How safe is it?  Are there any other first generation students?  How diverse is the campus?  What’s a Convocation?  Am I the only one who feels clueless?”

We know that launching your college career is a big step. To help you make a smooth transition into the ECU community, ECU staff and faculty have planned more than 100 ways to help you get on board.  We are pleased to invite you to Weeks of Welcome (WOW) 2007—offering eight weeks and more than 100 events and activities to welcome you to the ECU community.  

Be sure to check this website frequently  for updates on WOW activities.  Every Friday we’ll post a question on the website.  Answer the question online, and your name will automatically be entered into a contest for a grand prize.  WOW!
