Articulation Agreement Transfer Degree Plans

Comprehensive Articulation Agreement

The North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between NC community colleges and NC public universities and has as its objective the smooth transfer of students.

All CAA transfer degree plans demonstrate how an undergraduate degree can be completed. Prior credit, course availability, prerequisites, major requirements, and student needs must be considered in developing the individual academic pathway for each student, in consultation with the academic advisor.

ECU is in compliance with the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement.

Reverse Transfer

North Carolina’s Reverse Transfer Program is a state initiative in which students are rewarded for credit they have already earned or will earn at the four year university. The program is designed to award an associate degree to students who previously attended a North Carolina Community College and fulfilled the associate degree requirements while working towards a bachelor’s degree at a North Carolina university. Please see the official Reverse Transfer Program FAQ’s for eligibility and additional resources.
