Some agencies or foundations limit the number of proposals an institution may submit, e.g., NSF-Major Research Instrumentation Program, American Honda, State Farm, and Lockheed Martin.
If a faculty member identifies a limited submission grant program and is interested in submitting an application, the faculty member should contact the Associate VC for Research, Michael Van Scott (email@example.com). University selection is typically a two-step process:
Limited Submission Selection Process
- RGS will issue a request for “Letters of Intent” from interested faculty and if faculty interests exceed the institutional limit,
- More substantive internal pre-proposals will be solicited and reviewed by RGS to select the most competitive ECU proposal.
