Office of Research Development

Strategic Partnerships

An increasing number of federal agencies (e.g., NSF, NIH, etc.) and foundations are encouraging the formation of “collaborations” between units within university and between universities (external collaboration).

  • The purpose of these collaborations is to increase the breadth of the research, i.e., partnering medical science with social science to investigate societal in addition to human impact.
  • The Office of Research Development can assist with effective team development through the creation of alliances, collaborations, and access to collective research resources.
