Since you are graduating this spring, after only three years, what will you miss most about ECU?
Everything! Just the overall impression that ECU has made on my life—from my time in the dorms with my best friend, the long nights studying for exams, and meeting some of the most amazing people I’ve ever known. It’s been a great ride. But if I had to narrow it down to one thing, I’d have to say I will miss the football games the most. I’ll never forget the way it feels when the football team scores with only seconds left on the clock and the whole crowd erupts into pandemonium. The excited yells and high-fives from friends and complete strangers plasters a smile to your face that lasts for hours.
It’s rather uncommon for students to graduate early, especially with a double major. Why did you set the goal to graduate early and what are some of the things that helped you reach that goal?
I earned a four-year scholarship so I figured if I finished my undergraduate degree early, I could apply the final year of my scholarship towards graduate school. I had to receive permission to take more classes than normally allowed during the summer, but that was an easy process. Everyone worked hard to help me achieve my goal. The professors at ECU have inspired me to make the best out of my experiences here, and to challenge myself to a higher degree than I thought possible. I am so proud of the caliber of professors that we have here. I couldn’t have done it without them.
Why did you choose to attend ECU?
Above all, it was the positive atmosphere and the diversity of the people here. I have friends that attended ECU and they said nothing but great things about the school and about Greenville. I'm so glad I made the choice to come here.
