Kim is an Assistant Professor of Finance in East Carolina University’s College of Business. Prior to entering academia, she was a U.S. Naval Officer. After leaving the Navy, she worked in defense contracting as a project engineer, senior financial analyst, and business manager.
Her research interests include corporate liquidity and real estate finance. Her research has been published in journals such as Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, and Journal of Behavioral Finance.
Kim earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MBA from Old Dominion University, and a PhD in Business Administration, Finance also from Old Dominion University. She is married with two children.
