Dr. Michael Borer is a Teaching Instructor in the Department of Engineering. His research interests include manufacturing and continual improvement.
Dr. Gene Dixon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering. His research interests include engineering management and related processes. Specific interests include the role of leaders and followers in the leadership process. This includes quantitative methods of value based decision making including, teams, trust and culture. Ties to the nuclear industry represent interests in waste reduction, waste minimization, facilities decommissioning, decontamination and remediation. Business experience provides on-going interests in personal productivity and performance. Educational research interests include industry-academic engagement in building student and professional success skills.
Dr. Paul Kauffmann is a Professor in the Department of Engineering. His research interests include the impact of technology on operational and financial performance and the analytical/quantitative methods necessary to make effective decisions in complex and difficult to measure areas such as technology strategy and product development, logistics and supply chain management, cost analysis/capital budgeting, safety, and quality.
Dr. BJ Kim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering. His research interests include the design of data analysis models based on nonparametric/functional analysis, information and decision systems for supply chain and logistics management, empirical models for intervening slips/falls in older population.
