  • Graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a B.S. in Microbiology
  • Completed a Post-Bachelors' Internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory 
  • Joined the PhD program in Fall 2015 and currently working in Dr. "Raz" Shaikh's lab.
  • Currently researching the role and function of lipoxygenase enzymes in B cells.

 Nathaniel Fry

  • From Hanover, MD
  • B.S. in Molecular Biology from Liberty University, Virginia
  • Joined the PhD program Fall 2013.  Working in Dr. Mansfield's lab
  • Conducting research on RNA modifications in hypoxia
  • Advanced to PhD Candidacy on September 25th, 2015

Dylan Johnson

  • From Randleman, NC
  • B.S. in Chemistry and Biochemistry and M.S. in Chemistry from ECU
  • Joined the PhD program in Fall 2016. Working in Chalovich lab
  • Conducting research on Striated Muscle Regulation by Troponin

  • B.S. in Molecular/Cellular Biology with minor in chemistry from Appalachian State University

Edward "Ross" Pennington

  • Conducting research on the Biophysical Organization of the Inner Mitochondrial Membrane

  • B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in math from McNeese State University
