The School of Dental Medicine’s Clinical Research Center contains six dental chairs for research subjects in operatories equipped identically to those in the school’s other clinics in Ross Hall and community service learning centers across the state.

The combined expertise of the Office of Research staff represents decades of research experience.

Office of Research staff and consultants have built a data system, (COHORT) to extract information from the AxiUm electronic health record system that can be used for research.

The School of Dental Medicine has an active Student Research Group, which is officially recognized as part of the National Student Research Group network. The Student Research Group meets monthly with student-led journal clubs and faculty researchers.

School of Dental Medicine students have presented research at the national level (Student Research Scholars).
