Dr. Speer serves as the Director of the Division of Endodontology in the Department of Surgical Sciences at ECU School of Dental Medicine. He earned his DDS from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago. He also earned his MS in Oral Biology with an emphasis on Immunology. His Certificate of Specialty in Endodontics was obtained at Loyola under the mentorship of Dr. Frank Weine. Dr. Speer is the former Chairman of the Department of Endodontics and Director of Graduate Endodontics at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, Dr. Speer has been in private practice for more than 35 years.
