Dr.Kumarswamy is originally from Mumbai, India and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Periodontics in the department of Surgical Sciences. He earned his dental degree from the College of Dental Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Davangere, Karnataka, India. He was in private practice in Mumbai, after which he enrolled at Boston University's Goldman School of Dental Medicine and graduated with a Certificate in Advanced Graduate studies in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. He then went on to earn his MS in Periodontics and Implantology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr.Kumarswamy was previously a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL where he was the Director for the Perio Honors course. He also maintained a private faculty practice limited to Periodontics and Implantology.
