Clinical Simulation Laboratories
Our Clinical Simulation Laboratories replicate patient care as closely as possible for students using the latest in teaching technology. Instructor stations broadcast to individualized lab stations for students.
Comprehensive Dentistry Suite
Our Comprehensive Dentistry Suite is a treatment center with 48 dental chairs, each replicating an operatory in a private practice. Beginning in their second year, students treat patients in this suite under the supervision of the faculty. Here, students refine their skills with procedures performed by general dentists in treating patients.
Electronic Learning Halls
Electronic learning halls offer students a window to the world of dentistry through teleconferencing. Students can make virtual visits to labs and conference rooms in Ross Hall, to our community service learning centers across the state, or to any location in the world with reciprocal technology.
Our advanced care clinic and our Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics Clinic are designed to help students gain experience providing patient care in specialty areas under the supervision of faculty dentists.
Community Service Learning Centers
East Carolina University is establishing eight to 10 dental community service learning centers in rural and underserved areas of North Carolina to offer students exceptional hands-on experience with patients and to improve the health and quality of life of North Carolinians.
Community Service Learning Center (CSLC) Conference Room
Our CSLC conference room is equipped with video teleconferencing that allows for constant sharing and innovative discovery among students and faculty on campus, at our community service learning centers across the state, and at other institutions.
