Rehabilitation Medicine

Full recovery of your abilities after an illness or injury can depend on rehabilitation. ECU Rehabilitation Physicians will guide you in a program to recover your strength and adjust to any changes. In addition, we can diagnose the causes of your long-term pain. We have treatment programs for people of all ages. We treat strokes, spinal injuries, cerebral palsy, recovery after accidents and trauma.

We combine therapy, medication and adaptive equipment so our patients can recover as fully as possible. Therapy restores muscle tone, function and routine skills. Medication relieves pain and spasticity. Adaptive equipment enables, empowers and fosters independence. Our treatments include exercises, activities, medication and in some cases, surgery. Your treatment may also include injections, special equipment, physical and occupational therapies, and mental rehabilitation after brain injuries.
