Class of 1989

John M. Giblin, MD
Dr. Giblin now lives in Little Rock Arkansas with his wife, Cheryl. Their three children are all grown-up. Cate and Holly both attend the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and Scott is a student at the University of Central Arkansas. Dr. Giblin is the President and CEO of Clinical Study Centers in Little Rock where he conducts clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry. Specializing in pediatric behavioral medicine, Dr. Giblin recently designed and funded a research protocol examining the effect of a popular extended release stimulant medication on sleep in children ages 6-12 years. The manuscript has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Attention Disorders. (May)


Class of 1990

Lenore Parks, MD
Dr. Parks is living in Winston-Salem, NC, with her husband (James) and son (Westley). She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She is also the Clinical Chief of Pediatrics at the Downtown Health Plaza of North Carolina Baptist Hospital. (May)


Vincent P. Wilson, MD
This year will be Dr. Wilson's 13th year as a Family Physician for the NBA's Orlando Magic Team. (February)


Class of 1993

Patrick Craft, MD
Dr. Craft has joined Duke Primary Care in the Oxford office. Hi wife, Kelly, is Director of Exceptional Children at Roxboro Community School, a college prep charter high school in Roxboro, NC. One of Dr. Craft's daughters, Ellison, just finished her freshman year at UNC-Chapel Hill. (May)


Class of 1999

Shannon Dowler, MD
Dr. Dowler has taken the position of Medical Director for Blue Ridge Community Health Services, a Federally Qualified Health Center that serves 50,000 patients a year, in Henderson, NC. (May)


Troy Fiesinger, MD
Dr. Fiesinger of Sugar Land, Texas, was sworn in as Vice President of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians during the 60th Annual Session and Scientific Assembly in Arlington, Texas. He currently serves on the faculty of the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program where he practices full-spectrum family medicine including obstetrics and office procedures. (August)


Michael G. Hodges, MD
Dr. Hodges has been selected for Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force, his rank effective September, 1, 2009. He is currently stationed at Ramstein AB, in Germany, as a Theater Validating Flight Surgeon for Europe and Africa. He is married to Cindi and has two children, a 14 year old daughter, Brianne, and a 7 year old son, Cody. (July)

Cammy Benton, MD
Dr. Benton married Jaime Espinosa and now has two children; Giselle (2 years old) and Sofia (9 months old). She is currently working in Lincolnton, NC at Lakemount Family Medicine with Carolina Healthcare System. (May)


Class of 2001

Erica Evans, MD
Dr. Evans recently relocated back to North Carolina after being a Medical Director for West Hawaii Community Health Center in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. She is now in Private Practice in Statesville, NC at Piedmont Health Care PA. (July)


Class of 2002

Erin Parrish Reade, MD
Dr. Reade is currently working at TC Children's Hospital in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care in Chattanooga, TN. (July)


Class of 2003

Ken Dunham, MD
Dr. Dunham works at the Brody School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry as well as the Department of Internal Medicine providing both outpatient and inpatient services. He has been married to Mayisha (class of 2004) for ten years and has two daughters. Dr. Dunham enjoys volunteerism and last year took vacation time to participate in a medical mission trip to Belize. Mark Hill, MD
Dr. Hill recently got back from working for a year in the Emergency Department in Tauranga, New Zealand. He is now back in North Carolina and has a new job at Duke Raleigh Hospital. (May)


Wes Lindsey, MD
Dr. Lindsey has accepted a position with Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He will be an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Sibley Heart Center, Division of Pediatric Cardiology. (May)


Class of 2004

Mayisha Dunham, MD
Dr. Dunham finished her residency training in PM&R and has focused on wound care including use of advanced healing techniques such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Currently, she is medical director for Wayne Memorial Hospital Wound Care Center in Goldsboro, NC. Dr. Dunham is also CEW of Dunham Healthcare and provides wound care at nursing homes and to home bound patients in eastern, NC. She is married to Ken (class of 2003) and has two daughters. In her free time she enjoys running, traveling and participating in church activities. (May)


Richard Herring, MD
In June, Dr. Herring will finish a two year Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He will be moving to Winston-Salem, NC in July to run a private Allergy and Immunology practice in Davie County called "Davie Allergy and Asthma Clinic". His wife, Lyndsi, and he have two children; Chase (three years old) and Ella (one year old). (May)


Chris Simmons, MD
Dr. Simmons is currently a pathology resident at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He and his wife, Caroline, have twin three year old girls, Evelyn and Lily. (May)

Chad Greer, MD
Dr. Greer is now completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship in Clemson, SC. (May)


Class of 2006

Emily Cozzi, MD
Dr. Cozzi is a postdoctoral fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She is working on uncovering the genes responsible for airway hyper responsiveness, a major phenotype of asthma. (May)


Elnaz Tabrizi, MD
Dr. Tabrizi finished her residency in Internal Medicine at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. She is currently finishing her first year of Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Kentucky. (May)


Class of 2007

David Ehrmann, MD
Dr. Ehrmann has been married to Sarah for eleven years. They have two children, Jacob (3 years) and Benjamin (1 year) and are expecting their third child, Elizabeth James, in July. The Ehrmann's are in the process of moving to Nashville, TN, after spending many years in Greenville, NC. Dr. Ehrmann will be starting a NICU Fellowship in January of 2011 at Vanderbilt University. In December of 2010, he will graduate from Pediatric Residency at the Brody School of Medicine. (May)
