Breathe Easier– Support group for those with lung cancer. Breathe Easier meets the first Tuesday of each month at 12:00pm at the McConnell-Raab Hope Lodge in Greenville. For more information, call Holly Parrott Hill (252) 744-3891.
Brother to Brother– Support group that provides education and support for men with prostate cancer. Brother to Brother meets the last Friday of each month at 9:00am at The Seahorse Restaurant in Greenville. For more information, call William Turner at (252) 809-7185.
Caring4Cancer- A support group for the caregivers and loved ones of individuals with cancer. Caring4Cancer meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00pm at the McConnell-Raab Hope Lodge. Please feel free to bring your patient or family member with cancer. The Pitt County Arts Council will be on hand to provide separate, personalized activities for them! Caring Conversations- A support group for anyone who has been touched by any form of cancer including patients, survivors, family members, spouses, caregivers, and friends. Caring Conversations meets the second Tuesday of the month at the ACS Hope Lodge. Call Judy Koutlas, RN at (252) 847-9738 for more information and dates.
CARES- CARES is a support group for families dealing with childhood cancer. CARES will explore issues that parents, siblings, and patients experience when faced with the illness of a child. For more information, call Paula Bowen at 744-3891.
Educational programs and classes
Appetite for Life!– Cancer survivors have the opportunity to participate in healthy cooking classes on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9:30 to 11:00am at the McConnell-Raab Hope Lodge in Greenville. Cancer Transitions– This is a program of The Wellness Community and The LIVESTRONG Foundation. This six-week workshop is designed to help cancer survivors make the transition from active treatment to post-treatment care. Registration is required. The Grateful Gourmet- The Grateful Gourmet is a nutritional cooking class for cancer survivors and their caregivers. Each six week session will center on a different style of food and deal with nutritional issues that cancer survivors face in their daily lives. Happy Hour- A gentle and personalized yoga class, Happy Hour is held the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12:00 to 1:00pm, at Pitt County Arts Council's Emerge Art Gallery, 404 South Evans St., in Uptown Greenville. For more information, please call (252) 744-3891.
Quarterly Speaker Series-An informational luncheon is held each quarter to educate health professionals, staff, and the community as a whole on cancer related issues. The next one will be held on April 30th 2014. For more information, please call Holly Parrott Hill at (252) 744-3891.

Yearly events and camps
Dragging for Dollars- In partnership with the Lung Cancer Initiative, the Brody School of Medicine will hold the womanless beauty pageant, Dragging for Dollars. 2014 will be our first year hosting the event and proceeds will help the Lung Cancer Initiative of NC with research, screening, and lung cancer related activities. Holiday Food Drive- Employees from both organizations have the opportunity to donate food, which is distributed to cancer patients and their families who are in need during the holiday season. Our heartfelt thanks to all at Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center and Vidant Medical Center who participated in the food drive.
Pet Food Drive- In partnership with the Pet Food Pantry Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center annually holds a pet food drive to help with the financial burden cancer treatment can take on families and their pets.
Pink Ribbon Run- The Pink Ribbon Run is a 5K run, 1 mile walk, and kids dash event held annually. All money raised from the event goes to the Pink Ribbon Fund to assist our local breast cancer patients. For more information, please call Holly Parrott Hill at (252) 744-3891.
Survivor's Day- Our annual Survivor's Day celebration is held on the third Thursday in June. We celebrate our Survivors, their families and caregivers, and pay homage to those we have lost at this community event. This year's event will be held at 5 Points Plaza in Uptown Greenville on June 19th and will include an umbrella market style fair, live music, and dinner with a speaker.
