What is the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Interest Group?

The Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Interest Group is an organization dedicated to promoting medical student awareness of the different aspects of psychiatry.

Our goals are as follows:

  • Promote awareness of mental health issues and combat the stigma of mental illness and learning disabilities
  • Promote self-awareness and well-being among medical students
  • Provide opportunities for students to learn about the history and diversity of psychiatry
  • Educate the community regarding how psychiatry can play a role in other fields of medicine
