The Counselor Education Program is excited to have two new tenure-track faculty join the program Dr. Avent received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling and Counselor Education and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at The University of Texas at San Antonio for three years prior to coming to ECU. “Most Likely to Succeed” film screening inspires students and faculty

On Sept. 27th, the College of Education held a film screening of Most Likely to Succeed. The 82 people in the audience were a mixture of faculty and students.  Most Likely to Succeed aims to help all schools re-imagine their purpose and create learning experiences that prepare kids for life in the 21st Century. ECU College of Education honors scholarship recipients and donors

More than 100 students in East Carolina University’s College of Education have received a record amount of scholarship support for the upcoming academic year. This year, more than $550,000 in merit and need-based scholarships was distributed to 106 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education students. COE Adult Education Program partners with School of Dental Medicine
