The Office of Community Relations and Outreach coordinates donor relations, event planning, volunteer opportunities and communications for the College of Education. Our office administers the College’s annual scholarship program, and collaborates with University Advancement on college fundraising initiatives and works to help faculty and staff “Tell the Story” of the College of Education and the role the college plays in helping transform education throughout Eastern North Carolina, across the state and around the world.
We welcome all alumni, friends, faculty and staff who want to give their time or money toward helping the College of Education at East Carolina University continue to be one of the best in the country.
If you have a story to tell about alumni accomplishments, faculty innovation or a regional education partnership please let us know!
Celebrating the accomplishments of our faculty, staff, students and alumni is a primary focus of the Office of Community Relations and Outreach. Our office coordinates fall and spring graduation recognition events, an annual scholarship and donor recognition ceremony and the Educator’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
We also work to create opportunities for faculty and staff to connect with alumni and each other by hosting smaller events like our Homecoming “Breakfast on the Porch” and the Dean’s Holiday Open House. The Treasured Pirate Award program allows faculty and staff in the College to recognize special and unique contributions of their colleagues throughout the year.
If you have questions about any of the events hosted by the College of Education or want help planning an event for your department we would be happy to provide additional information through phone or email. Come see us!
