Thank you for your interest in the add-on licensure program for driver education at ECU. I may be offering one more sequence of classes to add 096, driver education, to your teaching license. If you do not have a teaching license, I cannot help you and you will need to contact DMV.
This could be the last time ECU offers these classes. I am starting my 35th year at ECU. In addition, the number of teachers wanting the program will dictate continuation of classes. Currently, there is not enough demand for the program to warrant its’ continuation. If you need 096, now is the time.
You need to be admitted to ECU ASAP. The deadline is November 1st. You should apply as a post baccalaureate non-degree student. This allows you to pay undergraduate rates for the classes.
There are four classes (12 semester hours) required by DPI for any add-on license. DRED 2000 and DRED 3309 are being offered this fall and DRED 2000, DRED 2330 and DRED 3320,21 will be offered in the spring semester 2014. I have listed three classes for the spring semester. This means if you want to add driver education to your license, it might be possible starting in the spring and finishing in the fall, December 2014. The deadline for admittance to ECU is November 1, 2013.
I will decide based on enrollment, if the classes will go or not.
Once you are admitted, email me about the classes. I will add you to the classes in January. Each class costs about $450. That price is set by ECU and there is no way around it. I have tried.
I have tried to answer all the questions I have received from teachers. If you have any more questions, email me at email@example.com
