The IT Communications team keeps the ECU campus informed on the latest IT tools, upgrades and announcements with speed, clarity and creativity.
We develop innovative, comprehensive advertising campaigns for new and existing IT services, resources and systems. Our advertising campaigns include distributing information through various outlets such as the ECU Technology Digest e-newsletter, campus plasma ads, print ads in The East Carolinian, event handouts, printed how-to documents, emergency notifications, online announcements, ITCS social media, Web ads, computer lab posters and many other avenues.
In partnership with ITCS colleagues, we develop and update content for the ITCS website and IT service catalog, including online tutorials and technology instructions with user support for Microsoft Lync, network storage options and online training registration for Microsoft e-Learning/IT Academy and SAS.
We administer the annual faculty, staff and student technology surveys to solicit feedback from the ECU community that assists ITCS administration in the planning and implementation of IT services, resources, systems. Working with Institutional Planning and Research (IPAR), we report measured IT goals and strategic priorities. Annually, we develop and publish the ITCS Year in Review that is shared with ECU administration, the campus community, ECU Board of Trustees, and the general public.
