The Information Security Office manages the University Information Security Program, which formally defines and actively communicates the responsibilities of all ECU employees for protecting the information in their care. This program also establishes an administrative framework that assists unit directors with managing the information security risks within their areas of responsibility.
The Information Security Office serves as an advisor to university leadership on information security management strategies and works collaboratively with all university divisions and partners on information security issues with enterprise impact. The Information Security Office coordinates IT risk management for the university and serves as the official information security point of contact for federal, state and industry agencies.
