Audio Conferencing Through VoIP

Staff have several audio conference call options from which to choose.

Cisco VoIP phones:

  1. Dial the number of the first participant. Once connected, press the More key and then the Conference (Confrn) key to put the first person on hold.
  2. Dial the next participant and press the More key and then Conference (Confrn) key again when the call is answered.
  3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until all participants are added to the call.
  4. Up to five participants are allowed in this type of conference.
  5. Conference calls are billed at the same basic long distance rates.

Cisco Meeting Place Express

Cisco Meeting Place server is now retired. 

Audio conferencing is migrating to Cisco Webex.

Audio conferencing only - visit the Unified MeetingPlace website to attend, schedule or access training videos for the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace service.

Schedule a MeetingPlace Express Conference

  1. Open a Web browser and navigate to
  2. Log in using your PirateID and Cisco IP phone password. For assistance with this password, contact the IT Help Desk.
  3. Click the Schedule option from the top left of the screen.
  4. Complete the meeting options and click the Schedule button. Make note of the Meeting ID number.
  5. Also note that the Outlook plugins can be downloaded from the Unified MeetingPlace page.

Attend a Meeting Place Express Conference:

  1. From the Meeting Place Web page, enter the Meeting ID or choose the Join Meeting button.
  2. Or dial in using the 328.9100 phone number. Type in the meeting's ID number from your phone's dial pad.
