If you are not an ECU student, faculty, or staff member with a PirateID, please read below to learn if you are eligible for access to use Joyner Library's interlibrary loan and document delivery services and then to register for ILLiad access.
ECU Students, Faculty, and Staff: Please login to ILLiad using your PirateID and Passphrase, as you do to Blackboard, OneStop, and your ECU email account. If you do not already have an ILLiad account, you will be prompted to create one.
ECU Alumni: Alumni are not currently eligible for interlibrary and document delivery services. Please consult your local public library for interlibrary loan service; it can request materials from ECU for your use. Paid members of the ECU Alumni Association can, however, check materials out directly from Joyner Library and use the electronic resources in the building.
Retired ECU Faculty and Staff: If you are retired from ECU, you may request access by registering as a first time user for ILLiad. Please note that materials must be picked-up at Joyner Library; we cannot mail materials to you.
Friends of Joyner Library: If you are a current paid member of the Friends of Joyner Library, you may request access by registering as a first time user for ILLiad. Please note that materials must be picked-up at Joyner Library; we cannot mail materials to you. For information on joining the Friends of Joyner Library, visit the organization's webpage.
K-12 Schools in eastern North Carolina: You might qualify for the special Educator Card School document delivery service. For details, visit the Educator Card School webpage. If you are eligible, you may request access by registering as a first time user for ILLiad.
Other Libraries and Institutions (e.g. non-profit organizations, corporations, law firms, medical practices): You may request access though our Lending service. View the Lending webpage for details and to create an account and enter requests.
