Dental students hone skills in simulation lab

In a new laboratory Friday, Sept. 30, students at the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine got the chance to practice what they’ve been learning.
Students were performing the time-honored lab activity of waxing a maxillary central incisor – one of the upper front teeth. They molded wax into a broken section of tooth, the first step in the process of creating a mold to build crown.
