ECU Health Foundation (Health Sciences)

An agreement between the ECU Medical & Health Sciences Foundation and Vidant Health Foundation has been signed and executed, creating the ECU Health Foundation. The two entities aligned to operate as one philanthropic arm supporting ECU Health and ECU's health sciences. The alignment follows the joint operating agreement between East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine and then-Vidant Health that has been in place for more than a year, enabling the organizations to create ECU Health and work together to improve health care delivery to the 1.4 million residents of eastern North Carolina.

The ECU Health Foundation (Health Sciences)'s core mission is to provide resources to ensure student and faculty success and transform healthcare in the region. We are committed to honoring the values that have guided the progress of the university, and as we look into the future, will focus on values that will be key to the success of our continued growth: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Discovery.

As the ECU Health Foundation (Health Sciences), we exist to provide resources to ensure and enrich student and faculty success and to transform healthcare in the region. We are governed by an independent board of directors who contribute generously of their time, talents and financial support. The Board members are responsible stewards of all gifts and they are committed to the highest levels of accountability and transparency in all they do. The ECU Health Foundation (Health Sciences) is a 501(c)(3) public charitable organization. Donations to the ECU Health Foundation (Health Sciences) are deductible to the extent permitted by law.
